Day 1: Hanoi - Halong
Leave for Halong city, experience the rural life and activities of the Vietnamese farmers on their rice-field. Arrive Halong city. Boarding at 12.00pm.
13h00: Lunch and wine for welcome.
13h30: Visit to Sung Sot cave, round over Tuan Chau island, Dinh Huong island, Ga Choi island, Dog island, Sail island. Stop for swimming at Titov beach.
End up your day with dinner on boat while watching sunset, fishing with seine, drinking Vietnamese wine.
Day 2: Halong - Hanoi

Detailed Tour Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Hanoi (D)

Arrive in Hanoi, welcome by your guide and transfer to hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure. Dinner at the hotel. Overnight in Hanoi.

Day 2 : Hanoi - Hoa Lu - Hanoi (B,L,D)

A 70km drive through rural northern Vietnam to the site of Vietnam's first capital, Hoa Lu. After visiting the two remaining sanctuaries of the ancient citadel, take a sampan on a river through the rice paddies to the grottoes of the sacred Tam Coc Caves. Enormous limestone karsts jut out from the green rice fields giving rise to this place's other name, 'Halong on Land'. Climb up to the Bich Dong Pagoda, which offers a scenic view of the surrounding countryside.

Day 3: Hanoi (B,L,D)

A full day city tour of Vietnam's capital. Hanoi is a unique city with tree-lined boulevards, French colonial architecture, peaceful lakes and oriental temples. The city tour includes such sights as Ho Chi Minh's Mausoleum and his house on stilts, the One Pillar Pagoda, the Temple of Literature, the Quanh Thanh Temple and the Tran Quoc Pagoda on the edge of West Lake. After lunch in town continue to the Museum of Ethnology and end the afternoon with a visit to the Lake of the Restored Sword and a cyclo tour of the Old Quarter.

Day 4: Hanoi - Halong Bay Cruise (B,L,D)

Leave Hanoi by road for Halong Bay. Enjoy the journey through the rich farmlands of the Red River Delta and the scenery of rice fields, water buffalo and everyday Vietnamese village life. Arrive in Halong and board the Emeraude, a wonderful replica of one of the classic steamships of the colonial era of French Indochina. A welcome drink will be served on the sundeck. With 37 luxurious air-conditioned cabins, a restaurant, two bars and a sundeck this is the ultimate Halong Bay experience. Lunch is served on board. Whilst cruising on the emerald green waters of the bay try a traditional Vietnamese or foot massage as an optional extra. Another optional extra is high tea served on the sundeck in the late afternoon. A sunset cocktail is served on the sundeck followed by a buffet dinner. Overnight on board the Emeraude.

Day 5: Phoenix Cruise -Halong Bay - Hanoi / Danang - Hoi An (B,L,D)

Wake up to fresh coffee and a wholesome breakfast before cruising back to Halong City. Early morning Tai Chi is an optional extra on the sundeck from 06:00 to 07:00 before breakfast. Arrive back at Emeraude's private pier at 09:30 for disembarkation. Drive back to Hanoi. Lunch in Hanoi then free time till transfer to Airport. Flight to Danang and transfer to Hoi An. Dinner in town and overnight in Hoi An.

Day 6: Hoi An - Hue (B,L,D)

Hoi An was a major Asian trading port in the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries and its architecture and relaxed lifestyle have changed little over the years. Take a walking tour of the ancient town centre to visit the former merchants' homes, the 400 year-old Japanese Covered Bridge, a Chinese communal hall and the colourful market. Leave Hoi An after lunch for Hue, the former imperial capital of Vietnam. The scenic route passes through Danang before climbing over the Pass of Ocean Clouds and dropping down to the wonderfully photogenic fishing village of Lang Co. Arrive in Hue late in the afternoon and transfer to hotel. Overnight in Hue.

Day 7: Hue (B,L,D)

Visit the former imperial capital of Vietnam. A boat trip on the romantically named Perfume River visits Hue's best-known religious site, Thien Mu Pagoda, and the mausoleum of former emperor Minh Mang, in a tranquil setting of gardens and lakes. In the afternoon visit the elaborate mausoleums of emperors Tu Duc and Khai Dinh and the Imperial Citadel from where the Nguyen Dynasty ruled between 1802 and 1945.

Day 8: Hue / Ho Chi Minh City (B,L,D)

Transfer to Hue Airport after breakfast for the short flight to dynamic Ho Chi Minh City, still called Saigon by many locals. A full day city tour takes in the city's bustling Chinatown and begins with a visit to the Thien Hau Temple, from where you will take a cyclo ride; the most appropriate and unusual way to explore Cholon, literally meaning 'big market'. The ride will take you to the lively Binh Tay Market. Then visit a lacquerware factory to witness workers continuing a Vietnamese ancestral tradition. After lunch visit the War Museum and the former Presidential Palace, from there on you will go on foot (the car will be available at all times) to visit the major sights of colonial Ho Chi Minh City: the Notre Dame Cathedral, Old Saigon Post Office, Dong Khoi Street (formerly Rue Catinat), Continental Hotel, Opera House and City Hall. After this historical visit, enjoy some wonderful ice cream at Fanny's, a quaint little parlour with a French atmosphere, before exploring the trendy boutiques on Ton That Thiep Street.

Day 9: Ho Chi Minh City - Mekong Delta - Ho Chi Minh City (B,L,D)

Depart to Cai Be, deep in the Mekong Delta. Board the Cai Be Princess junk boat and start the tour with the visit of the colourful Cai Be floating market. Follow with a visit of some local home factories that produce rice paste, rice pop corn and coconut candies. Cruise then to evergreen islands among the Mekong River through large networks of meandering rivers, crisscrossed with countless arroyos. Lunch at a fruit orchard then cruise to Vinh Long and discover beautiful landscapes along the river and observe the typical Mekong Delta rural life.

Day 10: Depart Ho Chi Minh City (B)

Departure day. At leisure for shopping until transfer to Tan Son Nhat Airport for onward flight.

Day 01: Arrive Ha Noi
Arrive
Noi Bai Airport. Meet and transfer to hotel. Evening enjoy water puppet show. All puppets are made of woods, moving on the water following the rhythm of live folk music. Fire crackers, smoke, fire and lights make it more picturesque. Overnight in Ha Noi. (if you arrive late, the Water Puppet Show can be moved to another day)

Day 02: Hanoi – Sa Pa
Morning visit the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum and Museum, One Pillar Pagoda, Tran Quoc Pagoda and the Ethnic Minority Museum. Afternoon city tour includes the Temple of Literature, Ngoc Son Temple and walking tour throught the Old Streets in the Old Quarter of Hanoi. Transfer to railway station for overnight train to Lao Cai (Sapa). Overnight on train

Day 03: Sa Pa

Early morning arrive Lao Cai. Meet and transfer to Sapa. Have your own breakfast at local restaurant or at hotel. Check in hotel. Drive to Tarvan Village for trekking tour to explore the hill tribe villages (3 trekking option 4 hours, 6 hours or 8 hours) and visit the Sapa market, where The Love Fair to be held every Saturday night.

Day 04: Sa Pa – Ha Noi
Morning drive to Bac Ha. Visit Bac Ha Market, the biggest typical mountainous market and surounding villages of Tay, H’Mong and Dao people. Afternoon return to hotel. Transfer to railway station for overnight train to Hanoi

Day 05: Hanoi - Ha Long
Early morning arrive Hanoi. Transfer to Halong with sightseeing enroute. Stop in Hai Duong to taste the Green Been Cake with tee. Arrive Halong. Afternoon boat cruise on Ha Long bay, which is recognized as World Scenery Heritage with thousands of grottoes raising from the sea. . Overnight in Halong.

Day 06: Ha Long - Ha Noi
Transfer to Hanoi, on the way visit the famous Ceramic Factory in Dong Trieu. Arrive Hanoi. Rest of the day free and easy for last minute shopping or explore Hanoi by your own. Overnight in Hanoi

Day 07: Ha Noi - Hue
Early morning transfer to airport for flight to Hue. Day tour of Hue including the Royal Citadel, Forbidden city, Tu Duc and Khai Dinh royal Tombs, the two different architectures from two different points of view of the two Kings. Afternoon boat trip to visit Thien Mu Pagoda and Conical Hat Making Village, see local people make the traditional hat by the "Buong" leaves. Royal banquet is optional.

Day 08: Hue - Da Nang - Hoi An
Morning visit the Dong Ba market. Drive to Danang via beautifully Hai Van Pass. Arrive Danang, visit the Museum of Cham Sculpture, Marble Mountains and stone carving village.. Drive to Hoian. Overnight in Hoi An.

Day 09: Hoi An
Morning visit Hoian Ancient town, the most famous World Culture Heritage in Vietnam, an ancient town dated back from 16th century. Visit Japanese Bridge, Phuoc Kien Temple, the Old Houses, Hoi An Museum and Hoi An market. Afternoon boat trip to on Hoian River to visit Kim Bong wooden carving village and pottery village in the outskirt of Hoian. Overnight in Hoian

Day 10: Hoi An - Da Nang - Nha Trang

Morning free at leisure in Hoian then transfer to airport for flight to Nha Trang, the most beautiful beach city in Vietnam. Afternoon arrive Nha Trang, check in seaside hotel. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnights in Nha Trang.

Day 11: Nha Trang
Boat tour to visit Tri Nguyen Aquarium, fishing village and Tam Island. Afternoon visit the Po Nagar Cham Tower, Chong Promontory and Oceanographic Institute. Overnight in Nhatrang

Day 12: Nha Trang – Da Lat
Drive
to Dalat city, 1500 m above the sea level. Refresh with a little bit cool of the highland city which was known as “A little Paris” or “a flower city”. Visit the Thien Vien Truc Lam, Tuyen Lam Lake, King Bao Dai’s summer palace.

Day 13: Da Lat
Morning visit to garden and Dalat Market, one of the most beautiful markets in the highland with a wide array of flowers, fruits and vegetables. Then visit to Lat K’ho hilltribe Village on the foot of Lang Bian Mountian, continue to visit the Old Dalat University and the Old railway station from French period. Finally visit to the Crazy house, one of new but strange architecture in Dalat design by the daughter our our former president Truong Trinh. Overnight in Dalat

Day 14: Da Lat - Ho Chi Minh
Morning drive to Ho Chi Minh City, visit Pongua Waterfall on the way. Arrive Ho Chi Minh, check in hotel. Afternoon free at leisure. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh city.

Day 15: Ho Chi Minh City
Full day excursion to visit Cu Chi underground tunnels, the network system of more than 200km tunnels, operated effectively during the war time by Vietnamese guerillas. Afternoon city tour of Saigon include Reunification Hall, War Remnants Museum, Notre Dame Cathedral and the bustling China Town and Thien Hau Pagoda.

Day 16: Ho Chi Minh – Vinh Long – Can Tho

Excursion to the Mekong Delta. Stop at Cai Be for boat cruise along the Mekong River, visit floating market, walk through beautiful orchid island, visit the farmer's house, take the rowing boat along the narrow cannel with water coconut trees. Proceed to Can Tho, the capital city of the Mekong Delta. Check in hotel.

Day 17: Can Tho – Sai Gon
Morning visit Cai Rang Floating market, a typical Market in the Mekong Delta, orchard garden. Orientation tour of Cantho city then return to Ho Chi Minh city.

Day 18: Ho Chi Minh Departure
Transfer to airport for departure.
